Make a video
On the Street Movies
Spend an hour or two walking around your city and asking random people a few questions about Wikimedia. Ask open ended questions that encourage conversation rather than easy yes/no answers.
Some possible questions include:
- What do you know about Wikipedia?
- What do you use Wikipedia for? (or any of the other Wikimedia projects)
- Why do you use it?
- What do you like/not like about it?
- Who writes Wikipedia?
- What do you know about the Wikimedia Foundation? (or any of the chapters)
Post the video and share it with the world!
- We discovered:
- It's easier to get people to talk if they're already "stopped" (that is, not walking down the street).
- Be ready for anything! Some of the answers will surprise you.
- Look for a diverse group of folks to answer.
