I think that if you put advertisments in high traffic pages it could mean money for Wikimedia

Do we have enough space or bandwidth?
Will users want to have advertisements?
If there was a serious chance of this happening would we face a further exodus of editors, as happened in 2002 when en:Enciclopedia Libre Universal en Español was set up because of talk of advertising on the site?
