Summary

Separate Wikiprojects for North American, Japanese, European, Brazilian, and other Asian video games.

Proposal

Separate wikiprojects for video games based on geographic release would improve their importance in Wikipedia.

Motivation

Oftentimes, games from Japan get low-importance ratings because they only appeal to players of imported video games.

Key Questions

  • How do we get Japanese and other Asian video game articles to become more important in Wikipedia?
  • How do we get people dedicate to playing imported video games (as opposed to video games from their own region) to become contributing members of these new WikiProjects?
  • Should games released in Hong Kong have their own WikiProject as well or be counted as a part of Asia's wikiproject?

Potential Costs

just time for the people to set up new wikiprojects
