[edit] Summary
[edit] Proposal
We should develop recommended structures for books, teaching material, news, etc. to get more collaboration and participation in smaller wikimedia projects.
[edit] Motivation
Collaboration requires standardization. Therefore wikipedia has recommended structures for articles of cities, countries, military campaigns, people, etc. There are wikimedia projects with strong standards: Wikiquote, Wiktionary and weak standards: Wikinews. And there are projects without standards like Wikibooks and Wikiversity. These projects don´t really work, because there is no collaboration (collaboration means more than one person writes content into one wikibook or learning resource). I don´t know if it is possible to develop recommended structures for books or teaching material, but we should try to.
[edit] Key Questions
What can we do to strengthen the smaller wikimedia projects?
