[edit] Summary
A comic strip in daily newspapers that express some of the hottest topics on Wikipedia in comic strip form.
[edit] Proposal
Beakman's World successfully has a comic strip with science facts. Wikipedia could do the same with abbreviated information from their free online encyclopedia.
[edit] Motivation
We need people to read the newspaper more but we also need people to read Wikipedia more. Therefore, this would be a perfect match for both newspapers and Wikipedia.
[edit] Key Questions
- How short do we need to keep the knowledge down to in order to fit the comic strip panels?
- Do we include all topics or those suitable for family viewing?
[edit] Potential Costs
costs for staff, costs for writers, costs for coloring and ink people, syndication fees
