Distributing Wikimedia documentation

Having flipped through multiple pages of HTML as if the material were written on dead trees, perhaps I overlooked any mention of an increased effort to formally and properly document all the necessary aspects of Wikimedia syntax and systems, and how they are properly used. I personally would find such documentation exceptionally useful, and I can imagine that a wide variety of potential users might feel the same.

If there is a place for hard-copy (say, CD-ROM) distribution, this might turn out to be an excellent one, as any user could learn offline as well as online. Such a body of documentation, as well as an entirely offline "Sandbox Wikia", would allow the practiced use of these systems in privacy, without public embarrassment or ridicule, and without consuming valuable online connection time, a resource which I imagine is at a premium in many areas throughout the globe.

It seems I have mis-transcluded myself, and I'll need a moment to clean up the mess. Until next time... TheLastWordSword (talk) 16:30, 7 March 2012 (UTC)
