Questions from a read of the document
1. Where is all the growth in 3G penetration in Asia-Pac coming from? How much of this is China vs. other large countries in Asia? 2. Why is Latin America trailing behind in 3G growth? 3. I've seen recent news that Nokia's share is declining fast and that Android is quickly becoming the leading smartphone platform. What do we know about that? 4. If we look at major apps available on Android, do they really have issues with the variation among the handset manunfacturers or is this media hype?
Might be too late, but some educated guesses- 1. Japan and Korea led the way in adoption, followed by Australia and Singapore, There is also the gigantic populations from China and India which might account for the growth, thought not high percentage-wise, we are talking about over 1 billion people in either country, thats almost a third of the human race in 2 countries 2. Smaller population, endemic issues with developing countries, followed by lack of access to new technologies. Possibly due to the geographically isolated location. 3.Nokia hasn't been innovative for a long time, they have no technical infrastructure in place neither did they ever pursue it actively. Its a case of the market leader getting too comfortable and lazy to innovate hence the growth in Android adoption. 4. Structurally, probably negligible difference. Its always going to be an issue when Android is openly given to manufacturers to customize and specify, there would have to be a lot of variations, but the basic OS and app infrastructure should be the same or atleast google hopes that it is.
Well the reason for people using 3G sourced internet rather then say Windows Microsoft sourced internet is because more people are using internet on iPhones, Mobile phones and 3G Dongles as time is throwing it's self at more portable locations for internet rather then broardband which is fitted into a single location or at least that is what the info says. If that is the case though, it is not important wether wikipedians contribute to the wikipedian communinty via 3G, broardband or any over kind of internet connection but that they contribute and the source of a internet connection is irrelevant and does not concern us at Talk:Main/Page/en however it is the contributions from a fellow wikipedia is what matters. I'lld say show the same amount of Wiki:Love and share the same ammount of piping hot southern fried chicken to every wikipedian no matter what source of internet connection they use.
