Please modify your sig

It takes up a lot of room and probably violates policy. -- BullRangifer 03:55, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

I wouldn't react to "probably violates policy" but I already changed my signature yesterday. I do think the policy you are trying to invoke doesn't exist (Referring from your signature to Wikinews is not allowed? What would be the reason?). I do think my signature was a bit too "noisy" (as in Signal Noise) so I changed it after having used it sufficiently.

We have no such policy, beyond one of mutual respect.

Good point. Mutual respect does help earthquake victims because your donation is a sign of respect. I also respect BullRangifer's right not to be subjected to excessive Signal Noise, which is why I changed my signature already.

If that's true, then I'm going to guess that the signature policy from Wikipedia doesn't apply here, because it certainly wouldn't be allowed there. Thanks for changing it. I have nothing against your or the cause, but the "noisy" aspect, as you correctly guessed. BTW, I'm now writing on what appears to be a subpage. It doesn't have any identifying information on the top which identifies it as a subpage of Fasten. It's only because I know how subpages work that I know this. While using transclusion might seem smart, it's also confusing, and frankly I don't like the idea of you removing my post from your talk page where I thought I placed it. You really should follow standard practice and have all talk page comments on the talk page. -- BullRangifer 14:22, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for your advice but I have no idea how LiquidThreads is implemented (you may be right, of course) but since it can be tested here I thought giving it a chance might be the reasonable decision. --Fasten 14:43, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

So this page is being used as an experiment? That would explain it. -- BullRangifer 02:11, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

If you'll take a look at this subpage, you'll see that each comment ends up as a subpage, which is a ridiculous situation. This won't work and needs to be undone. Every comment on a talk page should be visible on that talk page, and each thread should be editable without having to edit the whole page. -- BullRangifer 02:25, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

How on earth am I supposed to correct one of my previous edits? -- BullRangifer 02:29, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

You probably haven't noticed that there is an "edit" button under the "more" menu. --Fasten 08:48, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
