Regarding this edit, I agree. It wasn't in the original template, and was added by an eager volunteer who thought they were doing the right thing. I removed it earlier today from the template and am currently removing it from all usages. -- Philippe 07:14, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

Just echoing what Philippe said. It was added by a well-intentioned volunteer, and hopefully they understand now that it wasn't appropriate. Thanks for the catch, GerardM! --Eekim 07:45, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi Gerard,

With regards to this edit; Eugene and I would like to encourage the use of the strategy wiki as a place where proposals of all types related to Wikimedia or its projects can be posted. Think of it as a brainstorming space, and don't worry much about what should or shouldn't go here; we'll separate all that out later. -- Philippe 20:26, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

There is a limited amount of time I have available to follow the strategic planning wiki. With subjects like this, I find that my time is wasted. Where you say that you will separate it out later you are right, but at this stage I find it more and more problematic to participate as a result. Thanks, GerardM 21:07, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
The proposals now display in categories on the Call for proposals page - hopefully that will help keep some of the noise down for you... -- Philippe 21:53, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

EU grant

I was trying to get my action items but I can't without a URL for the grant you mentioned and I asked about at Proposal_talk:Volunteer_grant_writing_support -- would that one be a good test grant? 75.55.199.5 22:32, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

I do not answer on strategic things to ME to anonymous users. Thanks, GerardM 22:52, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

Vertaling oproepbrief

Dedalus 18:09, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

Thank you!

The deadline for the recommendations passed a couple of days ago. And as you took part in the Local Language Projects Task Force discussions, I would very much like to thank you for your inupt. I had no experience myself in the area and could only summarize those thoughts that you provided, and I am very glad that you provided them, because I think your experience now is incorporated into some of the recommendations that for a while not seemed to end up empty. I am also very thankful that I myself could learn a great deal from your input in the discussion and hope that the recommendations will be of some use.

Local language project

Hi Gerard!

I am trying to compile the recommendation document for the local language task force. As you provided some input in the discussion I thought you might be interested in giving your point to. I would very much appreachiate any help or critique that could help making this better.

Dafer4517:00, 21 December 2009

There now is a new draft of the recommendation documment, I have shorted down some sections. There is only 6 days left until the 12th of January when the recommendations should be submitted so any improvements, or comments about the relative priority would be very apprechiated. There is right now 5 recommendations and the Task Force should come up with 2-4 so is there any of them that we should drop?
