If not English, in what language is this proposal submitted?:
Canadian English Wikipedia, similar to Proposal:American English Wikipedia and other national forks such as the Egyptian Arabic Wikipedia.
Create a new Wikipedia project consisting exclusively of Canadian English, likely at en-ca.wikipedia.org.
Canadian Wikipedians need a Wikipedia that they call their own without any other form of English being permitted. They have a unique dialect that is different from Great Britain or the United States. To help preserve Canadian culture, this would be essential in order for spelling, grammar, and cultural bias to be diminished.
- How will Canadian English Wikipedia affect the growth of the classic English Wikipedia?
A separate server based in Canada (perhaps either in Vancouver, Montreal, or Toronto) to better serve the Canadian Wikipedians that will use the service. Also the obligation to twin the site with a potential Canadian French Wikipedia (Canada has two official languages).
