[edit] Summary
Bring Wikipedia kiosks to homeless shelters so they can learn about new thoughts and ideas that might just get them into a job so that they can afford to have housing again.
[edit] Proposal
A Wikipedia kiosk in every homeless shelter in North, Central, and South America by the year 2049.
[edit] Motivation
If the homeless people can't go to Wikipedia, let Wikipedia come to the homeless through the homeless shelter programs.
[edit] Key Questions
- How do we get the homeless to pay attention to Wikipedia?
[edit] Potential Costs
installation fees, maintenance fees (although government subsidies could cover both of them), IT staff (some of them could come from the homeless themselves with a high enough education), filter software (if needed)
