Task force/Strategy/I believe
This is a draft document. Please feel free to make edits, and understand that content may substantively change. If appropriate, discuss at Talk:Task force/Strategy/I believe. |
As we move forward with the Strategy development plan, it's important to state what we believe in. Everyone who wishes to be a part of the strategy task force is requested to "sign" this statement of beliefs with 4 tildes (as in ~~~~). This is our social contract, our agreement with one another. Once you've signed, please put {{UBX/Strategy Task Force}} on your user page.
Our shared beliefs
I believe... that we do our best work collaboratively, and pledge to support those working with me.
I believe... that we all work using different styles, but we respect the contributions of each person on the task force.
I believe... that in order to do our best work, we need to commit to being fully engaged with the process until the document is written (roughly May 30).
I believe... that I have an obligation to speak up when I have an opinion.
What else do you believe?
Feel free to leave your own statement of beliefs here and "sign" it with you own name.
- I believe... in the mission of the Wikimedia movement, and in the contributors to this wiki. ~Philippe (WMF) 18:19, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
- I believe... that consensus-building and collaboration creates an obligation to build upon and improve each other's ideas, rather than blocking each other. Randomran 19:23, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
- I believe... that the most important thing we can do is build healthy community. Without it, no process succeeds. ~Philippe (WMF) 20:12, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
- I believe... my health issues might get in the way - from time to time - of me being "fully engaged" constantly til May, however I am otherwise committed to the process until that time in all other respects. --Bodnotbod 13:26, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
