Setup a system that allows servers in third world to mirror Wikipedia content.


Proposal

Setup a system that allows servers in third world to mirror Wikipedia content. Servers could be placed at universities, internet cafes and other high usage locations.


Motivation

Bandwidth in developing countries is limited, and Wikipedia is a popular site. To reduce used bandwidth in and out of low bandwidth areas, a formal mirroring system should be setup.

How and when would data be mirrored? How would live updating be handled?
