Summary

Proposal

  • Commentaries should be seen at the bottom of an article at first site.

Motivation

At the moment en:Wikinews has 3,239 Commentary pages. I don´t know how many more Wikinews versions do provide the opportunity to comment the news not the article.

The Commentary pages are linked to the articles, but you don´t see them if you just read the article. And for each comment a new section is started. If there are some comments already written, they are not easy to find.

Commenting news could be a first step into writing news and to increase the number of editors.

Key Questions

  • How could Wikinews (...) be reworked to provide a compelling way for people to participate in the production and consumption of journalism on a large scale?
