Proposal talk:Upload and release pre-existing content

From Strategic Planning

I suppose that the button "create new page" which is on study would do that (you create the new page with the raw text, then it will be wikified, merged etc.), at least for raw text. Otherwise, this should only be an online form to write at permission OTRS queue. There are similar projects for images, from Wikimedia Nederlands and Wikimedia Israel (Pikiwiki). The most obvious similar project, but for images is of course Commons. "Create new page"...yes, that sounds like a familiar solution. But that's not equal in effectiveness. I was looking for a way to activate people who expressly don't want to create or edit a page, but only to provide raw materials for one. That feature should be named accordingly. Like "upload new source material" in every article -> if one want's to see that article expanded, he/she could upload new source materials or point to new www-sources. --212.149.204.84 23:43, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Impact?

Some proposals will have massive impact on end-users, including non-editors. Some will have minimal impact. What will be the impact of this proposal on our end-users? -- Philippe 00:00, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest it can be used and it can be useful but only with stubs/little stubs: with bigger articles this function is far less useful.Ssspera 00:09, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
