It looks to me that the proposals floated here could only be adopted for a new project. They concern a model as different from Wikipedia as that of Citizendium. They may well work for such a new project (or they may not, it depends on many factors). For Wikipedia this sort of social feature already exists, on a minor scale, and as far as I have seen it in operation it is deleterious for article quality. - Brya 04:37, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have concerns as well. But maybe you could explain the deleterious impact on quality. I'm taking an optimistic/collaborative approach that we can use social networking to make Wikipedia more friendly, and design it in a way that minimizes the downside.
