Zusammenfassung
Ich sehe Wikipedia nur dann in einer sicheren Zukunft, wenn die Informationen wieder neutral und unabhängig werden und nicht alles ständig besprochen bzw. zerredet werden muss.

I can only see a secure future in Wikipedia if the information becomes neutral and independent again, and when not everything needs to be permanently debated and/or discussed to death.
Vorschlag
Es sollte feste Editoren geben, die vorher auf größtmögliche Neutralität und Werturteilsfreiheit getestet wurden. Diese Editoren sollten die einzigen sein, die die Seiten verändern dürfen. Ich schlage vor, dass jeder mitdiskutieren und etwas dazu steuern darf aber der Editor allein entscheidet, was gemacht wird oder dass halt darüber abgestimmt wird. Man könnte darüber hinaus auch die Wikipedia-Beiträge mit einer Bewertungsfunktion versehen oder auch den Editor bewerten lassen, wenn man es unbedingt größtmöglich demokratisch haben will.
- Suggestion
There should be permanent editors who have demonstarated the highest levels of neutrality and freedom of assessment. These editors should be the only ones who are allowed to alter pages. I suggest that everyone can join in the discussions and make contributions, but that either the editor alone should decide what should be done, or that a vote should be taken. One could also introduce an assessment system, or even allow the editor to be assessed - if one wants everything to be as democratic as possible.
Motivation
So wie es jetzt ist, gibt es in dem vermeintlichen Nachschlagewerk oft Meinungen statt Informationen oder als Information verpackte Meinungen, sowie polemische Aussagen und sogar Falschaussagen. Damit hat die Wikipedia ihren Zweck verfehlt. Jeder Alternativanbieter, der es besser macht, ist derzeit ein Grund, Wikipedia links liegen zu lassen und würde ein Alternativanbieter kommerziell gestützt werden, könnte er Wikipedia den Rang ablaufen. Da möchte ich Wikipedia jedoch in Zukunft gerade nicht sehen und darum muss sich hier gewaltig etwas ändern.
- Motivation
As it stands, this supposed "work of reference" often contains opinion instead of information, or opinion cloaked as information, as well as polemic and falsehoods. The Wikipedia has failed in its objectives here. Any alternative provider who does it better, is a reason to leave Wikipedia, and if such an alternative provider were commercially supported, it could overtake Wikipedia. I would not like to see the Wikipedia in this position in the future, and therefore things need to change dramatically.
Potentielle Kosten
Die Kosten werden eher gesenkt, als dass neue entstehen: Die Seiten müssen nicht ständig nach jeder eigenmächtigen und falschen Änderung wiederhergestellt werden, sondern der Editor ändert sie. Dadurch spart man Zeit, Traffic und dadurch auch Geld.
- Potential costs
Costs would be lowered rather than generated: Pages would not need to be reverted after every unilateral and incorrect edit, but rather be changed by the editor. This way time, traffic, and money could be saved.
