Summary

Have Wikipedia count down to December 21, 2012 11:11 GMT to show that Nostradamus' prediction was incorrect

Proposal

A countdown system to Nostradamus' supposed doomsday

Motivation

Making sure that people know that we will not perish on December 21, 2012 like the TV shows and the Internet memes tell us we are; proving the Wikipedia will always be with us.

Key Questions

  • What kind of message should pop up at December 21, 2012 at 11:12 A.M. GMT to prove everybody that we're still here?
  • Should we put this in all the language versions of Wikipedia or just the ones that have information about the 2012 doomsday prediction?

Potential Costs

time for the volunteers to make up the code for the countdown
