Summary

A comic strip in daily newspapers that express some of the hottest topics on Wikipedia in comic strip form.

Proposal

Beakman's World successfully has a comic strip with science facts. Wikipedia could do the same with abbreviated information from their free online encyclopedia.

Motivation

We need people to read the newspaper more but we also need people to read Wikipedia more. Therefore, this would be a perfect match for both newspapers and Wikipedia.

Key Questions

  • How short do we need to keep the knowledge down to in order to fit the comic strip panels?
  • Do we include all topics or those suitable for family viewing?

Potential Costs

costs for staff, costs for writers, costs for coloring and ink people, syndication fees
