Editability

These infographics should follow the same principles as current content - which means that they have to be freely editable. Therefore, we'd need to find a good way of storing resources and source code (if applicable) alongside with them. --Tobias K. 08:43, 17 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I think this proposal is a GREAT idea. Moving/interactive graphics can get a lot of info across. It won't be just bling, it actually improves quality and accessibility.

I'm not sure editability needs to be there from the get-go, we don't have that requirement with static images...that said, I think editability of both static/dynamic graphics would be wonderful. Maybe that could go in a proposal of its own?

A couple of possible issues: will it make it difficult to use wiki on all browsers? The current site is so simple it can be viewed pretty much anywhere. Will it require more bandwidth, making it hard for people in areas with crappy telecommunications infrastructure?

Maps

Maybe a lot of overlap with Proposal:Markup for Maps? Although it is a different thing editing the underlying graphics as Tobias K. sketches above, and perusing graphics such as selecting and highlighting a previously created road. Rursus 10:51, 18 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Impact?

Some proposals will have massive impact on end-users, including non-editors. Some will have minimal impact. What will be the impact of this proposal on our end-users? -- Philippe 00:11, 3 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
