Do we have a process for selecting these? I don't mind the first choice (I think it's a good one), but want to be sure that we have some sort of process in place. Ideas on how to make that happen?
Some initial ground rules:
- Do not add your own proposal
- Proposals should fall in different categories (literally)
- Do not change the proposal shown today
Seems like I broke the "own proposal" rule for my additions... but just with one piece ;). I am sorry as I was just cping from my watchlist...
This is not "featured proposals" as it stands. It should be renamed "proposals Kozuch likes". It's entirely misleading. To redress the balance I could go ahead and add all my favorites. But I wouldn't have the brass neck to do such a thing. This should only have been done with some kind of consensus and I would be in favour of some admonishment.
Plaese add one or two, add comment why. I think ther are too few peaple to have conscensus votes.
There will be no admonishment :) I made an open call for people to get involved on Village Pump and Kozuch did it. I'd suggest that you do as well. I'll try to find time to go in and add some that I like too.
What about moving this page? I think the list should become something like list of "featured proposals" - list of proposals selected by some criteria (quality, discussion grade??? ect.). Like this we push the evaluation of proposals too - soon or later there will be a discussion on which proposals to include in the list and that will be very healthy here and we need such a discussion. If there are no real objections, I will move the page.
