Talk:Call for participation/Task force application/en

From Strategic Planning
What country do you live in? [SMALL TEXT FIELD]
What languages are you fluent in? [SMALL TEXTAREA]

Should these two be drop-down lists instead? (See the Wikimania registration form for example) Cbrown1023 talk 14:26, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The second would be hard - you'd have to use multiple fields to select multiple languages; better to search on the text. The first would make sense, but that ship may have sailed already... -- Philippe 16:04, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I pinged Casey West, who's developing the app. We'll see if we can get this in. --Eekim 18:54, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Any idea when the application form will be ready? I'd hate to be left waiting for the application form only to find you've already had 2,000 applications! --Bodnotbod 06:25, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
At the foundation-I mailinglist you will find the info that the Call for Participation will be published on Wednesday. (source) Goldzahn 14:40, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I'm rather behind on my emails. Good to know. --Bodnotbod 14:46, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I see that the English application form is now 'ready'. I guess it won't actually be available to fill in until all the translations are done, as otherwise it would leave the possibility of 2,000 English speaking applications before the other languages have had an opportunity to reply? Assuming I'm correct, I guess it may be another week or more til one can actually apply? I'm not, I'm at extreme pains to point out, complaining. Just keen to ensure I know when to apply, because I don't want to miss out. So if anyone has any information I would be grateful. --Bodnotbod 10:57, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
