It's time to answer some questions! Would you check out the list of questions that were submitted by the community and others and try to answer some? -- Philippe 02:21, 22 October 2009 (UTC) |
I strongly disagree with your attempt at censorship
Please revert your attempt hide the truth about anonymous editors on the first quality task force proposal. You wrote this on my talk page:
- Hi, please note that you were inserting your recommendations and questions at the wrong place. I have moved them to the talk page. As for your concern about anonymous edits, I have in the past emphasized more metric data is needed to analyse the exact influence of anonymous contributors to WikiMedia projects. I also took this opinion in the discussions of our task force. I'm not sure who you mean by 'wikimedia staff' though. Best regards, Woodwalker 08:27, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
Are you aware that you have deleted a link to those metrics? 99.56.137.239 08:44, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
- I moved your comments to the TP. Please be aware that this project isn't a soap box for broadcasting your personal POV. If you like to influence the recommendations our task force makes, please discuss this with the members of the task force first. I see you put your IP-number to the list of task force members. However, at the moment I oppose your membership because of your aggressive way of trying to get your own view into a page that reflects the common position of the task force. Regards, Woodwalker 08:48, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
- I am a volunteer. The instructions clearly state that the recommendations should be drafted "as soon as possible." This is a Wiki; if you have constructive contributions you are expected to make them. You are not expected to delete material because you disagree with it. In this case I recommend that you propose an alternative recommendation. Are you or are you not aware that you deleted a link to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Perennial_proposals#Prohibit_anonymous_users_from_editing which includes the metrics you wrote you have in the past emphasized? 99.56.137.239 08:50, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
- I am. I've read that proposal before and the discussion and material interest me. I think having this and other links somewhere would be beneficial for our task force. Note however that this link only covers one project.
- I believe recommendations by a task force are naturally written by the task force itself, not by individual volunteers. As we are still in the starting-up phase, I don't expect us to write them soon. Please also be aware Bhneihouse volunteered to be our facilitator and will accommodate the writing of our weekly reports. A discussion on the first report is currently held at the task force's talk page. Woodwalker 10:51, 1 December 2009 (UTC)

Local language recommendations
Hi Woudloper!
I am trying to compile the recommendation document for the local language task force. As you provided some input to the discussion I thought you might be interested giving your point too. I would very much appreachiate any help or critique that could help making this document better. --Dafer45 17:07, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
